Hi all,

I was introduced by neighbour to private so-called computer-repairman to check why pointing-arrow cannot be moved by mouse or control on notebook. He suggested that upgrading to Win7 is only way.Without any computer-knowledge I agreed without question. The next day he installed Win7.Thereafter, I used for a few days and only then do I realise that the Win7 installed was not operating as it should be!!

I come to the conclusion that the pirated win7 should be deleted and reverted to Vista which I'm happy with. Also I find the video-player pre-installed by ACER is easy to operate. The pirated Win7 cannot download google-chrome browser as well as Window Life !!( and what others?)

Appreaciate any help from experienced peers. Tks a lot.

Do you get a message telling you that the Windows 7 is not an original copy/validated ? ...there`s usually a link that leads to "rectify this problem" or something similar.

The mouse/cursor thing may have been something as simple as you inadvertently hitting the F7 key which disbales the pointer ! ...you can enable it by pressing the Fn key (bottom left of keyboard) and F7.

I had a genuine copy of XP Pro on a desktop that kept coming up with a message that it was not genuine and to validate it...but I never had any problem downloading any browswers or programs.
