white screen

Hi evryone! Does anyone have an acer notebook' problem like mine? Whenever I turned this on, and set the screen vertically, all I can see is a whole white screen with flashing fine black lines running through it, sometimes it"s all plain white or grayish. I cannot log in nor do anything in it, but when I push back the screen, the lines would disappear, and with a "pushed back" screen, I was having a hard time viewing it. I'll greatly appreciate any tips or advice.. Thanks.

Chances are that the video cable from the graphics card to the LCD panel has come loose. Moving the screen backwards is letting the wire touch the conectors. To fix this you would likely have to arrange a repair with Acer by calling their 1-800 number. Or if you'd like you can bring the unit to a local tech and have them repair it. Either way, unless you're pretty tech savvy you are going to need to have it repaired.
