My Acer Aspire 5560G won't boot up

My Acer Aspire 5560G crashed with the BSOD, I noticed the file atikmpag.sys was stated but it went fast. Then I did a system restore which went ok. Computer rebooted fine but next day it did the same BSOD problem again. Now it has a black screen and won't boot up.  I have lights but nothing on the screen. I have tried the eRecovery and booting from the Recovery disks but neither work (due to black screen). I have put the harddrive in a second computer (exactly same specs as they were purchased together) and it booted up fine so I believe the HDD is fine. I think the graphics card does not work any more but don't know if I can replace/upgrade it. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I am having the exact same problem with my Acer Aspire 5560G

I have the exact same laptop and it is giving me the same blue screen with atikmpag.sys as its reason. I also can't get anything on the screen at all when I boot up, I find that if I turn everything off (by holding down the power button) for 2-5min then try again the BIOS screen will show up. But I now need to boot into safe mode to get windows to work.

This is what I have tried so far...

     - deleted the drivers in Device Manager and rebooted. Which worked fine but now I only have standard video settings.

     - Reinstalled AMD drivers from Acer web site, rebooted and got blue screen again.

I have also tried various things from other web sites but nothing seems to work. I think this started to occur just after the latest windows update.

I am at a loss as to what I can do so please any insite will be great.

    thanks
