Is there any way to add inertial cursor for touchpad?

My previous laptop (which was a Samsung) and my work laptop (Dell) both have an option in touch pad settings to add momentum or inertia to the cursor, so that by flicking my finger on the touch pad I can send the cursor gliding across screen, almost anyway. However my Acer Aspire V5-171 does not seem to have this option, which is a shame. Using the touch panel seems clumsy because of this one lacking feature.

Is there a way to add inertia to the cursor with some SW update or third party tool? There is inertial scrolling, so there should be no mechanical limitation why this simple feature that is available on most (?) competitor products should not be available on Acer.
