Hi everyone — I’m using a system with Intel UHD / Intel Xe integrated graphics, and I’m running into a frustrating problem that I suspect is related to the GPU/driver.
Whenever I try to load my website (including the WordPress backend) at Plumber Singapore the browser will freeze, become unresponsive, or the tab will hang for long periods. Sometimes the page starts to load but then everything grinds to a halt (spinning wheel, unresponsive UI); other times the browser UI itself stutters and the whole machine slows down until I force-close the browser. I’ve also noticed occasional flashing or brief blacking out of content while the page is open, and page scrolling and text entry become laggy — it’s not just one tab, it affects multiple tabs and the WP admin dashboard as well.
I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps — updating Windows, installing the latest Intel drivers, rolling back/reinstalling the GPU driver, disabling hardware acceleration in the browser, clearing the browser cache, testing in multiple browsers, and checking for BIOS/firmware updates — but the problem persists. I also tested in Safe Mode and saw improved behavior, which made me suspect a driver/graphics interaction.
Has anyone else using Intel UHD/Xe seen similar browser/WordPress freezes or severe lag when opening content-rich sites? If so, what fixed it for you — driver versions, specific rollback steps, BIOS microcode updates, or a workaround (e.g., forcing the discrete GPU, changing a power profile, or a particular browser setting)? Appreciate any concrete tips or steps that helped you resolve this.
— Thanks in advance.
