Acer aspire 11.6 screen

This is probably the wrong place to ask but perhaps someone from Acer reads these.

I bought from Comet, what I thought was a  a blue Acer aspire 750 with 4 gig ram and 11.6 screen on the 7th November 2012 for my partners Christmas. I was just going to wrap it up when I looked at the side of the carton and found they had given me a black 720 with only 2 gig ram.

I contacted Comet but they will not change it. Can Acer please help. I have not opened the box and the seal is still in place. I paid £251.99 for it and am 100% sure that Comet's display model of the blue 750 was that price which is why I did not check the side of the box before I left the shop!

I would be willing to pay a bit more if I can get the blue 750 in exchange for the black unopened unused 720!

Any help would be appreciated as she so wanted the blue one!

I'm very sorry for the issues you are encountering, however, we are unable to assist in this instance.

A retail purchase would need to be returned through the retailer where it was purchased.  Any disputes with that retailer would need to be resolved directly.

I'm sorry that you didn't get what you expected to receive and I hope you find satisfaction with the retailer.

Thankyou Acer-Tommy for your reply. I new what the answer would be. I was just letting off steam as I knew I should have checked what I was buying before leaving the store.

However the retailer I purchased the netbook from has gone bust! I will just have to buy my partner a pair of pearl earings to head off complaints about buying the wrong netbook for her Christmas!
