Hi all, I'm looking for a power supply for an Acer mod. P03-640 series 500 watt.

The original was a Chicony but I cannot seem to find any.

I was hoping someone will know of a brand that will fit.

    👋 Hello,

The Predator P03-640 uses a 500W ATX12VO single-rail PSU, originally made by Chicony. This isn’t a standard ATX unit, so most retail PSUs won’t work without adapters.

    🔧 Options:

OEM replacement: Try sourcing the original Chicony unit via Acer support, eBay, or Chinese marketplaces.

Custom workaround: Some users have adapted standard ATX PSUs using 24-pin to 10-pin ATX12VO adapters, but this requires careful matching and may void warranty.

Confirmed fit: A few users report success with the Corsair RM750e, provided the PCIe cables can split into dual 4-pin connectors.

⚠️ Note: Higher-wattage dual-rail PSUs may not be compatible with the motherboard’s power distribution. Stick to single-rail units if possible.

Hi there, thank you for all the info. I have been looking at adapters but I'm Leary of the different ones out there.

I am not sure what you mean by single rail and double rail power units ?

The warranty on this machine is long expired so no worries there.

I may have to buy another ATX Mother board, power unit and use the parts for a new/old build.

    Thanks again for your help,

    Regards, P.
