Hi everyone,
I have a Predator Helios Neo 18 with a display that has the G-SYNC tag printed on it. However, in the NVIDIA App/Control Panel it only shows “Not available” and I don’t see any way to enable G-SYNC.
A few details:
- Laptop is brand new (BIOS 1.02).
- NVIDIA drivers up to date (580).
- Automatic Selection is on (Advanced Optimus)
- Windows 11 “Variable Refresh Rate” option is available, but I specifically want to confirm true G-SYNC support.
So my questions are:
- Has anyone with a Helios Neo 18 been able to enable G-SYNC in NVIDIA Control Panel?
- Do I need to switch to Discrete GPU only mode in PredatorSense for it to appear?
- Is the panel maybe just “G-SYNC Compatible / Adaptive-Sync” rather than full G-SYNC, despite the branding tag?
- If it’s supposed to be supported, is there a BIOS/firmware setting I’m missing?
Thanks in advance — I just want to know if this is expected behavior or if something’s wrong with my configuration.
