Yes, Acer provides the Intel® Dynamic Tuning Technology Driver version 1.0.11000.27915 for the Aspire XC-1780 desktop on the Acer support page, so have a look there and install it, if you want this feature for the 13th Gen XC1780 cpu, gpu and ram. Good luck.

    Hi Terrace

Not recommended to install Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT)

Multiple Acer users — plus examples from other brands — report only downsides from DTT, with no measurable benefit in battery runtime or efficiency.

    • Errors: Event log spam and service crashes tied to the “Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning” service.
    • Severe throttling: Sustained CPU speeds collapsing to ~1.2 GHz or less under load, even with temps well below limits.
    • No battery gain: Runtime unchanged after throttling, so performance is lost for nothing.

Example: On the Surface Pro 7, disabling DTT immediately restored full battery‑mode performance without any drop in backup time — confirmed on two separate units.

    If already installed:

    1. Press Win+R → type msconfigServices tab.
    2. Untick Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Service and restart.

DDT is showing errors in the event viewer, which I do not like. It will not start. Here is the error: "The Intel(R) Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) driver cannot load because the installed version of Intel(R) Innovation Platform Framework (IPF) that it depends on - - -". Also, DDT is not found in the bios. Yet I have it installed. I will take your advice and give it a try.
