I am writing to request assistance regarding a BIOS configuration issue on my Acer Aspire Lite AL15-41 laptop. I reside in Bangladesh and recently purchased this device for secure daily use, creative work, and official documentation.

Here are the system details:

  • Model: Acer Aspire Lite AL15-41
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7430U
  • BIOS Version: INSYDE Corp. 1.07.26RAC1
  • BIOS Date: 28-Aug-2024
  • BIOS Mode: UEFI
  • TPM: Enabled (Specification Version 2.0)
  • Secure Boot Status: Disabled (Greyed out and cannot be changed)

What I have already tried:

  1. Verified that the system is running in UEFI mode via System Information.
  2. Confirmed that TPM 2.0 is active using tpm.msc.
  3. Entered BIOS and set a Supervisor Password to unlock advanced options.
  4. Explored all BIOS tabs including Security, Boot, Advanced, and UEFI Settings.
  5. Located the Secure Boot Configuration screen, where Platform Key (PK), KEK, DB, and DBX are all marked as “Installed.”
  6. Attempted to enable Secure Boot, but the “Secure Boot Status” remains greyed out.
  7. Checked for BIOS updates on Acer’s official support page — my current version (1.07.26RAC1) appears to be the latest available.

Despite all these steps, I am still unable to enable Secure Boot. This limitation prevents me from running certain software like Valorant, which requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 to be active.

I kindly ask if there is a region-specific BIOS update, unlock method, or configuration tool, or anything that would allow me to enable Secure Boot on this device. If there is any official guidance or utility available for this purpose, I would be grateful to receive it.

Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response.
