Ctrl + B not working for Bold on New Acer Swift Lite 14, other shortcuts fine

Bolding text doesnt work; Ctrl and B keys individually work fine, and other key prompts like underline and italic work too(same with ctrl c v), but bolding doesnt work anywhere. not google doc, word, brave or any other website

Its a brand new laptop(acer swift lite 14), please any ideas?

Ctrl + B is the standard keyboard shortcut for Bold in programs that support text formatting — like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, etc.

Windows Notepad is a plain‑text editor, so it doesn’t support bold, italics, or other rich‑text formatting. That’s why Ctrl + B (and similar shortcuts) won’t do anything there.

If you need bold text in a lightweight editor, you can use WordPad (built into Windows) or any other rich‑text editor.

Yes I am aware of that fact; What I meant to be exact, was in programs that do indeed support text formatting, I can use CTRL U, CTRL I, for underlining, italic, you name it, but not CTRL B for bolding, it just doesn't work
