FX sound Installed, now earphones and audio devices are connected but no sound comes through

I have seen all the very complicated instructions on other pages where a similar issue was described back in 2023. Looks hellish.

My computer has just come back from repair as a new fan was installed. All programmes and drivers are therefore updated.

Problem is that since installing FX sound - which worked well for the sound level, my input devices - earpods and even plug in earplugs - have stopped working. All connected, come up on sound output list just fine, but sound only comes out of RealTek speakers on the laptop.

Any simple ideas? - or could Acer help me with this over the phone? so that I dont end up making massive issues with a 2 hour process of uninstalling and reinstalling everything 🙄

You need to go to the FxSound app interface (like shown below) and make sure that its set to the headphones settings as your FX Sound is set to the laptop speaks like shown below, as that is why the headphones do not have sound, and the only sound that comes out is through the laptop speakers, its very easy to set. Good luck.
