Hello Acer Support,

I own an Acer Predator Orion PO5-620, which uses an OEM B560M AORUS ELITE motherboard.
Recently, critical vulnerabilities were disclosed affecting the Intel B560 chipset, involving potential flaws in the System Management Mode (SMM) that could allow malicious code execution at a low level.

Reference sources:

I understand that my motherboard is an OEM model and that BIOS updates must be released directly by Acer. However, my Predator Orion PO5-620 is still under warranty, and I consider this a very serious issue for system security and integrity.

I would like to know:

  1. Has Acer released a new BIOS version for the Predator Orion PO5-620 that includes fixes for this vulnerability?
  2. If so, where can I download it and what is the recommended procedure for safely updating?
  3. If not, is there any estimated release date for this update?

Given the severity of this vulnerability and the fact that my device is still under warranty, I’d appreciate urgent guidance on how to proceed.

Thank you in advance for your support.
