My Acer Aspire 3 A314-23P Laptop was delivered with a Taskbar button for my browser (Microsoft Edge Version 139.0.3405.86) that took me directly to my personal Amazon.com page. I found this feature very useful and have used it every day. Now when I click the button I'm redirected to https://www.agoda.com/ apparently a vacation and real estate website. Is there any way to repair this button and recover my quick access to Amazon.com? My operating system is a Windows Home 64-bit with all relevant updates. Thanks for your prompt attention!

    Hi DZimny,

In Windows 11 24H2 the quickest way to restore your one‑click Amazon access is to make a new shortcut and pin it to the taskbar. Here’s how:

    1. Open Amazon in Edge

    • Launch Microsoft Edge
    • Go to https://www.amazon.com (or your local Amazon site) and sign in if needed

    2. Pin directly from Edge

    • Click the menu (top‑right of Edge)
    • Choose More tools > Pin to taskbar
    • You’ll now see an Amazon icon on your taskbar — clicking it will take you straight to the page you pinned

Tip: If you want a desktop shortcut as well, choose More tools > Pin to Start or More tools > Create shortcut (then drag that shortcut to the taskbar).

This method bypasses whatever link came preinstalled and keeps the target under your control.

Hope that puts Amazon back on your taskbar where you want it.

Thanks for the tip, Puraw — it worked like a charm! I unpinned the malfunctioning widget from the taskbar so it wouldn't confuse me, and everything is back to normal.
