Hello! I encountered a problem while trying to launch the game Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) — during loading, it kept crashing. I read on the internet that I should try updating the BIOS. I found the instructions on Acer’s official website and followed them exactly, but the first two attempts failed. I then decided to press F2 during the computer restart, and after that, it worked.

However, after installing the BIOS, when my computer restarted, it couldn’t boot from the system drive. I then tried using ChatGPT to find a solution, but nothing helped. I hope for your support.

I have Acer Nitro N50-656.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask — I’ll try to respond as quickly as possible.

I don't know what you did when you updated the bios, but you must have corrupted the Win-11 operating system. As the Nitro N50-656 desktops bios should be updated within the Win-11 operating system, and the last bios version 1.07 is a simple .exe executable file application that you just click on and allow the Insyde bios software to execute and finish the bios update until you can log into Win-11.

Do another clean install of Win-11 and first construct a bootable Win-11 version 24H2 with Rufus 4.9 and follow their guide exactly of how to build this bootable USB, then put the Nitro N50-656s IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 20.0.0.1037 onto the same Rufus bootable USB and when you get to the Win-11 installation section at > Where do you want to install Windows? > Load driver > you load this IRST version 20.0.0.1037 > Controller 09AB driver into the Win-11 24H2 installation, so that the N50-656 desktops M.2 SSD boot drive is recognized and you can continue and finish the installation of Win-11.

Then and when all the above is installed, install Nitro Sense version 4.2.126 then and if you have an RTX either 30 series or 40 series NVidia gpu card, that Acer fitted to the N5-656 desktop, install the NVidia App and scan your OS for the latest game ready driver and also play all supported games through the NVidia App, as Microsoft Flight Simulator is a supported NVidia APP game, so use this app for best settings for the Microsoft Flight Simulator, so that this game doesn't crash, as it should work 100%. Good luck and hope all this helps you out further.

I would like to note that when launching the .exe file, only the console appeared, and Insyde did not open.

At the moment, the main issue is that it is impossible to install Windows, because during the installation process, the system cannot detect the drive where I usually install the OS.
