Per the Acer website, this monitor (Part UM.HE3AA.101) has a screen size of 27". But when I click "Where to Buy" it takes me to NewEgg which shows the screen size as 31.5".

The model number/part number match in these two links but state a different screen size. Which is correct?

    Hi LemonDrop90 👋

Both Acer and Newegg are technically right about the ED323QU's screen size—it just comes down to how the width is being measured.

The 31.5″ spec Newegg lists refers to the diagonal length of the panel, which is the standard marketing measurement across the industry. Acer’s 27″ listing might refer to the active width or panel class from older documentation, or possibly a mislabel inherited from earlier product lines. 🤷‍♂️

Here's a visual breakdown of how measurements can shift depending on units or aspect ratio calculations (image credit: forum regular Frank 👨‍🔧):

📏 Approximate Width from 31.5″ Diagonal at 16:9:

    • 697.3 mm
    • 69.7 cm
    • 27.45 in
    • 2.29 ft

So depending on whether you're quoting diagonal, horizontal width, or even viewable area, vendors can differ slightly while still referring to the same physical monitor.

Moral of the story: both listings point to the same ED323QU model (UM.HE3AA.101), and your actual panel size is 31.5″ diagonal. 🎯
