Hi Suzain, welcome to the forum! 👋

The issue you're experiencing with Windows Hello is likely due to hardware limitations, not just a software glitch.

🔍 Your Acer Swift Go 14 uses a standard HD webcam, which does not include the infrared (IR) sensors required for Windows Hello Facial Recognition. To use facial login, Windows Hello requires a Hi-Res IR 3D camera, which can detect depth and differentiate between a photo and a real face.

    ✅ What You Can Do

    • You can still use Windows Hello with a fingerprint reader (if your model includes one).
    • If facial recognition is essential, consider using an external Windows Hello-compatible IR webcam like the Logitech BRIO or RealSense-based models.

Hi Suzain, Thanks for confirming the model — the SFG14-01 does have a high-resolution webcam, but it’s not equipped with the infrared sensors needed for Windows Hello facial recognition.

That’s why the preview fails to start — Windows is expecting IR input for depth sensing, which your camera doesn’t support.

If facial login is important to you, you could consider an external IR-compatible webcam like the Logitech BRIO or RealSense models. Otherwise, fingerprint login (if available) is your best bet.
