Hi Theva, welcome to the forum! 👋

Your Acer Aspire E1-522 uses an AMD A4-5000 processor, which does support AMD-V virtualization. However, the BIOS version (InsydeH2O v3.7) on this model does not expose the virtualization option, and there’s no official way to unlock it.

    🔍 What you can do:

    • You can still run virtual machines using software like VirtualBox or VMware, but nested virtualization and 64-bit guest OS support may be limited.
    • BIOS modding is possible, but it’s risky and not officially supported by Acer.

If virtualization is essential for your workflow, you might consider using a system with a more recent BIOS that allows enabling AMD-V or Intel VT-x.

The Aspire E1-522 model does not have a bios Virtualization setting, you can install any virtualization software onto this laptop without needing to set anything, I'm using the Oracle VirtualBox on an earlier laptop the Aspire V3-571G and it installed and works perfectly, so do that with your Aspire E1-522 model laptop. Good luck.
