Hi everyone,
I’m facing an issue with my Acer Aspire 5 (Model: A515-56). The screen starts flickering randomly, especially when I switch between applications or adjust brightness.

I’ve already tried:

Updating the graphics drivers

Checking Windows updates

Running the Acer Care Center diagnostics

Still no luck. Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a fix? Is it a hardware issue or something I can resolve through software settings?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The flickering happens because of the Intel Iris Xe Graphics driver in your A515-56 is using the wrong driver that is not compatible to the cpu graphics. If you are using the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant, do not use this software, as the flickering of screens is cause by this software updating the Intel Iris Xe Graphics driver to a newer Intel version that is not compatible with your Aspire A515-56 models graphics, as you should start with the initial Acer installed Intel graphics and then allow windows update to update this driver to the last and most compatible Intel driver.

What I suggest is that you completely uninstall the current Intel Iris Xe Graphics driver through Device Manager > Display adapters > Intel Iris Xe Graphics > then either install the oem Acer first and initial Acer graphics driver, which is the driver dated: 2022/05/19 Intel version 1.100.3407.0 graphics, and afterwards allow windows update to update this driver to the latest and most compatible Intel graphics driver suitable for your Aspire A515-56 laptop, as doing all this will STOP the random screen flickering, which is a common thing that happens with the 11th Gen cpu Intel graphics (happens on my Nitro AN515-56 that uses the 11th Gen cpu graphics and this is how I fixed it) of the era of your aspire A515-56 laptop that you have. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
