Battery issue - 0% battery and blackouts from time to time - Acer AN515-58

Hi,

For about six months, I've been having a problem with my laptop battery. At random times, I lose power even though the power adapter is connected. The screen goes black and then turns back on. After this happens, the battery shows 0%.

This helped for a while, but the problem still persists.

Right now, I'm running the laptop on battery power, even though it shows 0%.

Could this be a faulty voltage regulator chip or another component in the charging circuit?

Please help.

The symptoms that you are getting with the battery cutting out and the laptop crashing could be because its either the main power rail primary or secondary mosfet chips or the voltage regulator chip that are in the same chain, are faulty or the BQ or the EC chips that are faulty also. The best thing is to take your laptop to an experienced technician that has expertise in battery and power issues, as that is essential as not all technicians can fix power issues and/or fix a faulty battery, as you need a special tool called an NLBA1 PRO Laptop Battery Analyzer Tester Repairer, which not every technician has to fix a faulty or locked battery.

I don't know which part of the world you are in, but if you are in the UK then I suggest that you send your AN515-58 to an expert tech called Sorin that runs Sorin Electronics and is a very famous You Tuber also, he is an expert on these sorts of issues of fixing batteries and all power related issues on laptops especially, so I suggest if you are in the UK to send your laptop to him or maybe he will take other jobs from outside the UK, so ask him?

Also. I suggest that you watch some of his You Tube videos (that the link is on his site above) on what he can do in fixing battery/power issues as he has fixed many Nitro 5 laptops models like yours. Btw, I own an AN515-56 and I did a hard reset as my laptop started not turning on after it was about 9 months old and the hard reset fixed it, but I think your AN515-58 has deeper problems than that.
