    Hi Trev4,

Congrats on the new Spin 14! If Ubuntu’s not clicking for you, switching to Windows is totally doable — and since your laptop is a new model, it’s most likely fully compatible with Windows 11 version 24H2. Here’s how to get started:

🔄 Replacing Ubuntu with Windows 11 (or Windows 10 if preferred)

    Step 1: Check Compatibility

    • Your Spin 14 should support Windows 11 24H2 out of the box (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, supported CPU).
    • To confirm, run Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool.

    Step 2: Download Windows ISO

    • For Windows 11 24H2, use the Microsoft download page.
    • If you still prefer Windows 10, grab the ISO from UUPdump.net — select build 22H2 (19045.x), download and run the script to build your ISO.

Step 3: Create Bootable USB with Rufus

    • Use Rufus to create your installation USB:
      • Select your ISO.
      • Partition scheme: GPT (for UEFI).
      • File system: NTFS.
      • Click “Start” and wait for completion.

    Step 4: BIOS Setup

    • Reboot and press F2 to enter BIOS.
    • Disable Secure Boot.
    • Set USB as first boot device.
    • Save and exit (F10).

    Step 5: Install Windows

    • Boot from USB.
    • Delete all Ubuntu partitions.
    • Select unallocated space and click “Next.”

    Step 6: Final Setup

    • Connect to Wi-Fi.
    • Run Windows Update.
    • Visit Acer Support for any missing drivers.

💡 Why Windows 11?Windows 10 support ends October 14, 2025, so Windows 11 is the future-proof choice. It’s optimized for newer hardware and gets ongoing feature updates. But if you prefer Windows 10’s interface or need it for specific software, it’s still a valid option — just keep in mind the support timeline.

Let us know how it goes — happy installing!
