Can't enter BIOS after Linux install on Nitro V15

Recently installed CachyOS on my Nitro V15, using Limine as boot loader. Didn't notice any issues with it so far, booting into it works as expected. However, in order to install it I had to disable secure boot from the bios. I already did that, but now I'd like to re-enable secure boot. For that I need to enter the bios again. Unfortunately, it seems like I can't do that anymore. Pressing F2 right after pressing the power button (which is how I got into it previously) only manages to freeze everything at the Acer logo. I tried waiting and waiting but nothing happens, except for the fans spinning faster occasionally. The only way to get out of this screen is to hold the power button until the laptop powers off. If trying to start it again after that, you won't even be greeted by the Acer logo anymore, it will just be a black screen (and the fan noise). The only thing that seems to work at this stage is inserting a pin in the battery reset pinhole. After that it once again boots into CachyOS normally, but any attempt to enter the BIOS again breaks it, with the only "fix" being the battery reset. Same thing happens if I try to reboot into the bios directly from CahyOS itself, using the command systemctl reboot --firmware-setup.
I should mention, I never updated the BIOS, current version (printed on the box) is 1.06.
