Used to own a Alienware 16X Aurora that I could apply a -0.020V undervolt to the 275HX. (This laptop was returned… soo many issues)

MSI Laptops you can undervolt.

Is there a specific reason on why there's no option in the Advanced part of the BIOS to disable the Undervolt Protection on Acer's gaming laptops? Shouldn't this be decided by the user to accept full responsilbity's for their actions?

I'd be thrilled if Acer were to release a future BIOS update that woud give us users to undervolt the CPU. 😏

There is a BIOS > Advance > unlock HERE but there is no config file for your new PHN16-73 model laptop so you can't use this unlock method. But even if you apply this bios unlock and get all the settings shown below, users have reported that they haven't been able to undervolt the cpu as its locked.

PHN16-71 BIOS > Advanced > unlocked additional settings

Thanks for going out your way to reply back.

I'll keep an eye out for the TDC lock. I have been able to access the Advanced part of the BIOS. Plenty of interesting options. Overclocking is enabled but couldn't find a way to manually adjust the CPU voltage offset or disable Undervolt Protection. But if MSI allows their customers to undervolt their 275HX CPU. Then it can truly be unlocked at the firmware level by Acer. Just give us the option to enable or disable.

I'd be thrilled if I can at least get a -0.050V undervolt on the CPU and iGPU.

Acer has disabled the cpu undervolt/overvolt option a long time ago. I've tried to undervolt the cpu on my PHN16-71 and I used the method above and got the bios unlocked also and I can't do it, so you are not alone.
