Hi,

I have a question for my laptop acer nitro an515-57

It does heat quite during working normal task in the keyboard area "where the arrows, shift, ctrl, /,.," are. changed the ssd from 256gb to 1tb but seems the ssd was not the issue or might be wrong. anyone has the same issue or knows how to solve it?

I5-11gen, GTX 1650 gpu. 2xSSD, 16gb RAM

Thanks in advance

It usually gets hot due to the internal components. However, if it's overheating, then use an overheating protection software to control the fan speeds. Also, use a flat surface with elevated sides to place your laptop.

Elevate the rear of the laptop slightly. Use a laptop stand or even a book to improve airflow underneath. This helps passive cooling without any hardware changes.

Use a cooling pad. A basic USB-powered cooling pad with fans can reduce surface heat and improve airflow. Choose one with adjustable fan speed and good coverage.

Switch Windows power mode to “Best Power Efficiency.” Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery and select Best Power Efficiency. This lowers CPU power draw during light tasks and reduces heat without affecting GPU performance

The laptop is heating up because most probably the its running on at its full speed with no power saving turned on when plugged. Its also charging the batteries which can also cause the laptop to heat up. Just make sure to check the vents of your laptop if there's hot air coming out.
It is quite normal for the laptop to heat up, since the internal electronic components may generate heat while the laptop runs, especially during power-intensive operations such as charging, updating, gaming, etc. If you have an air-conditioned room, preferably use the laptop in there. If the room is not air conditioned, make use of a ceiling or table fan along with a laptop cooling pad. Laptop cooling pads have fans in them which help flow cool air keeping your laptop cool all time.
