Yesterday I received delivery of my new AIO computer and one of my first tasks is to increase the storage capacity.

I already have a Sabrent SB 1345 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD module, with the form factor of 2242, available for use.

Is this compatible with my AIO PC, regarding length (quite short only 42 mm) and capacity (2TB)?

I am very dissapointed with the complete lack of any information regarding the pc. I do have two large manual written in dozens of languages, informing me of safelty issues and local regulations which are of no use to me.

I also have a small leaflet telling me how to use the VESA mount to fixe the computer to a wall, again of no use to me.

Finally I have one timy leaflet which describes the available ports.

Where is a good source of some more useful information and advice, apart from 6the forum of course?

Many thanks

Hi oldun, and congrats on the new AIO setup! You're spot-on, manuals often skip expansion details entirely. I have attached Acer's link to Lifecycle Extension Guide (PDF) https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Document/Lifecycle%20Ext.%20Guide/Lifecycle%20Ext.%20Guide_Acer_1.0_A_A.pdf?acerid=638392598378272286&Step1=&Step2=&Step3=ASPIRE%20C24-1800&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

    🧠 About Compatibility:

Your Sabrent SB-1345 2TB NVMe SSD uses the 2242 form factor (42mm length). The Aspire C24-1800 typically supports M.2 NVMe SSDs, but most internal slots are designed for 2280 (80mm) drives. Here's what to consider:

    • ❓ Check inside the unit for the M.2 slot size: if it has a single screw mount at 2280, you may need an adapter bracket or adhesive thermal pad to fit your 2242 SSD securely
    • 🧩 Electrically, the SSD should work—as long as it’s NVMe, not SATA-based
    • ⚙️ Capacity-wise, 2TB shouldn’t be a problem, but Acer hasn’t publicly listed a max capacity spec for this model

If you're comfortable opening the case, a quick visual inspection will help confirm slot length and screw positioning. If you’re unsure, I can help dig through teardown photos or community feedback.

Let me know how you'd like to proceed and I’ll help walk through it! 💾🛠️

Thanks a lot. I had already considered an adapter for the ssd

I had hoped and still hope that I will have everythibng at hand when I open the case so that I can reassemble it quite quickly.

I amd very busy at the moment but I hope to add the meory within the next week.

    Cheers for now

I have now successfully added a 2TB M.2 NVMe memory card to my C24-1800 AIO and everything sees to be working OK.

I have 2 TB ssd wghich I would ;like to add to the PC. I investigated the fitting of such a ssd whilst I had thge case open and it seems very easy ONCE YO HAVE a suitable cradle for the ssd.

Does it need a special SAcer cradle of is there a standard type cradle available?

    Thank you

Note - please excuse the typos but I have extremely bad eyesight and can no longer rely on my touch typing.

With redard to my previous post requesting information on adding a 2TD SSD, I would like to add that the SSD is of 2.5" format

    Thanks
