I've cleaned it twice and repasted it after six months, but I'm still experiencing problems with games like Detroit and Cyberpunk 2077. The performance is greatly impacted by an excessively high CPU temperature that begins to throttle. I attempted to perform some undervolting, but no program supports that. Additionally, I tried everything and lowered the maximum processor status, but nothing helped. Please help, this laptop is working ok, but the temperature (95–100C) is too high. My friend told that the problem is getting too hot and that's why the GPU is underperforming. Is there any method to solve the problem? CPU is having issues, not GPU.

Specs: i9-12900H, RTX3070ti 8 GB, 16 GB RAM DDR5, 1 TB SSD.

Hi petrushka16, Try the following steps to lower CPU temps and reduce thermal throttling:

    1. Disable “Processor performance boost mode”
      • Go to Advanced Power Settings > Processor power management
      • Set Processor performance boost mode to Disabled
    2. Switch to “Best Power Efficiency” mode
      • Go to Settings > System > Power & battery > Power mode
      • Select Best power efficiency
    3. Cooling Pad Recommendation
      • Using a 9-fan cooling pad can help drop surface temps significantly, especially during long sessions.

Let us know how it goes once you've applied those changes.
