    Hi @sumit8826 ,

It sounds like your Aspire 3’s touchpad may be affected by a common HID driver issue. Here’s something that often resolves this on entry-level models like the A314/A315 series:

✅ Quick Fix – Reinstall the I2C HID Device:

    1. Press Win + X → open Device Manager
    2. Expand Human Interface Devices
    3. Look for I2C HID Device (may also be listed as “HID-compliant touchpad”)
    4. Right-click and Uninstall device
    5. Reboot the laptop — Windows should auto-reinstall the correct driver

🧠 This usually restores touchpad function if the driver became corrupted or was disabled during a Windows update or power event.

    💡 Additional Tips:

    • Make sure touchpad is enabled in BIOS (F2 at boot → check “Main” or “Advanced” tab)
    • Also check Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad in Windows 11 — some updates toggle it off silently

Still no luck? Let us know if Device Manager shows any yellow exclamation marks or if you’ve installed any third-party driver packs recently. We can dig deeper.

Try enabling the touchpad using the Fn + F7 shortcut, then check Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad to ensure it's turned on and stays active when a mouse is connected. Restart the laptop to rule out temporary glitches. In Device Manager, update or reinstall the touchpad driver. Also, gently clean the touchpad surface with a dry cloth to ensure there’s no interference. Finally, access the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup and confirm the touchpad is set to Advanced or Enabled in the Main tab.
