I recently started encountering an issue with, predominately my W & C keys. however the E & Q keys are also exhibiting a similar behavior slightly more intermittently.

I notice it mainly in Warthunder, and E/Q in ready or not when leaning. I got this only 3-4 months ago and I'm a bit frustrated with it. Sticky keys are disabled, as are filter keys. So far it cannot be replicated manually in notepad or an online keyboard tester, however I do notice that when holding down any key it stops after a certain point (50-80 characters), I'm fairly certain this is a win11 behavior though. The W,C,E,Q keys do not sound or feel any different than the others.

Drivers have been checked in Device Manager and are updated to the available driver.

If its a windows issue you can't fix it, only to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard drivers. Otherwise and for War thunder game, try the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Controller as that should make War Thunder, play better and see if that fixes this issue. Good luck.

The issue of keys "sticking" or behaving erratically, especially during gaming on the Acer Predator Helios 16 (2024), could be due to several factors, including driver issues, power management problems, or even physical keyboard defects. Try troubleshooting steps such as updating or rolling back NVIDIA drivers, adjusting power settings, and checking for adequate cooling. Additionally, liquid spills or debris under the keys can cause sticking, and in some cases, a full keyboard replacement might be necessary.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:-
    1. Driver Issues:
    NVIDIA Drivers:
Outdated or corrupted NVIDIA drivers can cause various problems, including keyboard malfunctions. Acer community forums suggest updating or rolling back to a previous version might resolve the issue.
    Clean Installation:
If updating doesn't help, try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove old drivers before installing the latest ones.
    GeForce Experience:
Ensure you have GeForce Experience installed and are using it to manage your graphics drivers and optimize game settings.
    2. Power Management:
    Charger:
Make sure you are using the original charger or one with the correct wattage and amperage.

    Power Settings:
Check your Windows power settings and consider adjusting them to prevent CPU throttling or instability during intense gaming sessions.
    Predator Sense:
Use Predator Sense to monitor your system's performance and temperature. You can also try switching between different performance modes (e.g., Balanced, Performance).
    3. Keyboard Issues:
    Liquid Spills:
If you've spilled anything on the keyboard, even a small amount, it can cause keys to stick or malfunction. Try cleaning the affected area carefully.
Debris: Dust or debris can also get under the keys and cause them to stick. Acer community forums suggest try gently cleaning under the keys with compressed air.
Keyboard Replacement: If the problem persists after cleaning and troubleshooting, the keyboard itself may be faulty and require replacement. Acer community forums suggest some users have reported needing to replace the entire keyboard due to sticky keys.
