Need to Upgrade my Acer Predator G3-605 (AG3)

Hi, I bought wonderful beast years ago, used to play GTAV full resolution and use editing video programmes with no issues. Now it's extremely slow, I checked and I only have 16 RAM installed and I believe it can take up to 32 RAM. The Specs are: i7-4790 CPU, 3.60 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 746 (4GB), RAM 16 GB DDR3, HDD 2.7 TB. I am devastated as it's extremely slow and I have tried formatting the PC, and all the tricks the one can find online but didn't help, changed my Antivirus from McFee to Avast, helped a bit but still horrible, iPhone 14 Pro Videos breakdance. My Task Manager show elevated CPU and memory, used to get to 100% but got better after the Avast. My questions:

1- Would changing to 32 RAM make an or significant difference?

2- Any other ways to restore my PC to what it was at least, I am happy not to play games although I would like to revisit GTAV but I need it to work on my projects with videos and editing. Trying to avoid spending another £3K on a desktop.

3- I can't install Windows 11 as it states my PC specs don't match!

The Predator G3-605 is an Acer 2013 desktop and if your desktop is fitted with the i7-4790 cpu, 4 cores/8 threads 3.6GHz-4.0GHz turbo cpu, then this is the highest spec cpu that this desktop can run and you won't be able to upgrade the cpu, the best upgrade is to do the following:

Upgrade the ram to 32GB from its oem 16GB by adding 2x 8GB DDR3-1333 or1600MT/s @ 1 .5V type ram into its 4x ram slots, if you have 2x 4GB DDR3 already installed buy a 32GB kit, if you can still buy this ram. To do this and ID your existing ram, install CPUz and see which DDR3 type ram you have.
If you don't have the 500W PSU then upgrade to this Acer oem PSU the -POWER.500W.115/230V..FSP500-50AAGA - Acer part #: DC.50018.001 so that you can upgrade to a better gpu.
Also if you don't have the Acer fitted highest spec GPU fit the GEFORCE GTX770.2GB GDDR5.256B.3505MHZ. gpu or better gpu for better performance.
If you want to run Win-10, uninstall the antivirus software that you are running the Avast nd only run the Win-10 included security program only.

If you want to run the unsupported Win-11 OS, then look at the below links and follow those guides and do a Clean Install of the Win-11 OS by the methods Microsoft suggests, as Win-10 support will end in September 2025. As doing all the above will increase performance considerably and will also helps running the Win-11 unsupported OS, that will extend this desktops life further.
