I have this machine

Model: C27-195ES - P/N: DQ.BMGEK.003 - M/D: 27/08/2024

I cannot reinstall windows on it because the RST driver does not work

There is no option for RST/RAID/AHCI in BIOS as there are on Dells, Lenovo and HP

I got the driver from here: https://www.acer.com/gb-en/support/product-support/C27-195ES/DQ.BMGEK.003/downloads

I get into Windows 11 Setup and it does not see the internal Drive/s

Loading the driver still shows no devices, not even the option to pick an unsupported driver

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the Intel RST driver installation error on your Acer Aspire C27-195ES AIO while installing Windows 11. If all the below guides don't work and your AIO computer is still under the Acer 12 months standard warranty or any warranty, I suggest that you send your AIO to Acer Tech Support in your country and get Acer to install Win-11 on this AIO.

    BIOS:

    1. Enter the BIOS and during POST, press Delete > If you fail to press Delete before POST is completed, you will need to restart the computer again. Once in BIOS > go to Exit > Load Default Settings > then reboot and make sure that all settings are at default configuration before attempting the below guide.
    2. Navigate to the BIOS settings and disable the Intel VMD technology. Note that disabling VMD will prevent the use of RAID arrays.
    3. Set SATA Mode to Intel RST/RAID Mode:
    4. Ensure that the "SATA mode" in BIOS is set to Intel RST/RAID mode before installing the operating system. The Intel RST driver is not compatible with AHCI mode.
    5. Lastly and when Win-11 24H2 version is installed, make sure that you have the last bios version 1.02 installed for the C27-195ES AIO computer.

Manually Install Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) Driver:

    1. Download and extract the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver version 20.0.0.1037
    2. During the Windows installation process, load the corresponding driver manually. This can be done at Where do you want to install Windows? > Load driver (see below caption) option when prompted to select the drive where Windows will be installed.
where do you want to intall windows.jpg

You should get this screen below (but with version IRST 20.0.0.1037) then chose the IRST and then you can continue the installation as the M.2 SSD boot drive will be recognized.

    Screenshot 2025-07-04 104958.png

Then proceed with the Win-11-24Hs version Clean Install (use the Rufus 4.9 version guide for the bootable USB) for the Win-11 24H2 and all its updates to OS build: 26100. as the IRST driver should appear and afterwards the oem SK Hynix Gen 4 x4 lane 512GB M.2 SSD drive should be recognized and you can finish the Win-11 installation. If the above steps do not work, then you could have a faulty M.2 SSD drive and you may need to change the drive. Good luck and hope this helps you out

Note: that larger capacity M.2 SSD drives like a 1TB, 2TB and 4TB or larger capacity Gen 4 x4 drives can be fitted to this AIO computer, see the Tom's hardware M.2 benchmark tests for the best and quickest Gen 4 x4 lane drives for your AIO computer. I suggest the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD as the best supposed and quickest drive for your AIO.

These are the oem Acer fitted Aspire C27-195ES M.2 SSD drives.
