Audio issues, no audio on Acer Nitro V 15, I've reinstalled all the drivers but no audio

Kind of stumped - I have an Acer Nitro V 15 and haven't had a single issue until today.

I was playing games last night with sound and no problems whatsoever. I came home from work today and no sound.

I've reinstalled all the drivers - Nvidia and Realtek included - yet still no sound. The system says my devices are working properly as well. Any advice or hints would be greatly appreciated. The laptop is just over a year old now…and I need sound for when I do consulting gigs and stuff like that. I would hate to have to get a new one already.

Hi, restore the system to an earlier date, type "Create a restore point:\" in Search and click on "System Restore" (see picture), you won't lose your data (takes only 10 minutes).

If your Acer Nitro V 15 has no audio even after reinstalling drivers, try these steps: check the BIOS settings to ensure the audio device is enabled, run the Windows audio troubleshooter, and consider a hard reset. If issues persist, explore options like updating or reinstalling drivers from the manufacturer's website, checking for compatibility, scanning for malware, and potentially reinstalling Windows.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Check BIOS Settings:
Restart your laptop and access the BIOS settings (usually by pressing F2, Del, or Esc during startup - check your laptop's manual for the specific key).
Navigate to the audio settings and ensure the audio device is enabled.
    2. Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter:
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and Run the "Playing Audio" troubleshooter.
    3. Hard Reset:
Unplug the power adapter from your laptop.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Plug the power adapter back in and turn on your laptop.
    4. Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers:
If the troubleshooter doesn't resolve the issue, go to Device Manager (search for it in the Windows search bar).

Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
Right-click on your audio device and choose "Update driver". If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the driver, selecting the option to delete the driver software if available.
Download the latest drivers from Acer's website for your specific Nitro V 15 model (e.g., ANV15-51 or ANV15-41).
    5. Check for Compatibility and Malware:
Ensure the drivers you're using are compatible with your version of Windows.
Run a virus scan to rule out malware interference.
    6. Consider Further Steps: If the problem persists, try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows.
You may also want to consider performing a clean installation of Windows as a last resort.
