The new PHN16-73 with the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processors are designed to work at a max 105°C temps before the operating system turns your laptop off. running your laptops cpu at 70°C temp is very normal for your laptop for a software like Photoshop which is an intensive cpu and memory usage software, your laptop is designed to work up to 105°C, so be aware of all this.

I suggest that if you use a cpu and memory intensive software like Photoshop and you game allot, that you upgrade the laptop to at least 128GB @ 2x 64GB DDR5-6400 MT/s type ram, as these new Predator Neo 16s Intel Core Ultra 9 Processors are designed by Intel to run at max 256GB ram capacity.

As upgrading this laptop to the higher memory and more than 64GB that Acer fitted your laptop, your laptop will run allot cooler and more efficiently with these editing and gaming software's with your new 2025 laptop like the PHN16-73-95NT that has the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processor 275HX 36M Cache, up to 5.40 GHz. Good luck and hope this helps you out

A peak CPU temperature of 88°C on an Acer Predator 16 running Photoshop in 2025 is likely within the normal operating range for that laptop, especially during intensive tasks like photo editing. Acer Predator laptops, particularly those with Intel Core Ultra processors, are designed to handle temperatures up to 100°C.
    Here's why:-

    Intensive Software:
Photoshop is known to be a resource-intensive program, utilizing both the CPU and memory, which can cause temperatures to rise.
    Laptop Design:
Acer Predator laptops, especially those with high-performance processors, are built to handle higher temperatures.
    Normal Operating Range:
The CPU can typically operate up to 100°C before the system might throttle performance or shut down.
    Recommendations:
    Monitor Temperatures:
Keep an eye on temperatures to ensure they don't consistently exceed the safe operating range.
    Ensure Adequate Cooling:
Make sure the laptop's ventilation isn't blocked and consider using a cooling pad if temperatures become a concern during extended use.
    Adjust Settings:
If the temperatures are consistently high, consider adjusting power settings or optimizing performance settings within Photoshop.
