Hello, I have a question. I want to add more storage to my laptop and I'm not sure if the 8tb version of the SSD I would like to add is supported or not.

Acer Predator Helios 16 – Model PH16-71-95WQ

CPU: Intel Core i9 (13th Gen – likely the i9-13900HX)

GPU:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX (likely 4070 or 4080) – confirmed by the sticker Screen: 240Hz WQXGA display (16:10 aspect ratio) MFG Date: March 26, 2023 Model Code: N23Q1

I want to add the WD Black SN850X 8TB

can anyone let me know if its supported? it includes a heatsink aswell. I tried looking everywhere online and couldn'tfind anything about my question.

The Predator Neo model PHN16-71 both SSD M.2 Gen 4 x4 lane slots support 8TB M.2 SSD drives or larger. Note, that drive capacities in a windows operating system is determined by the formatting of the drives and type of formatting that the bios accepts, in your PHN16-71 laptop the type of format that it uses is the UEFI GUID (GPT) format, this format has a max capacity of 8 petabytes (1 petabyte = 1000TB) and for the MBR/Legacy format its a max of 2.2TB.

So 8TB or larger in the PHN16-71 model laptop is easily supported. Good luck and hope this helps you out. Btw I'm using the same model laptop and in SSD2 slot I'm using a 4TB M.2 Gen 4 x4 lane drive and it works perfectly.
