My new Acer aspire 3 laptop battery was only going to 78%. fussed with the Microsoft AC adapter in device manager.

Later that day was charged to 100%.

Now is stuck at 80%

where do I go to look see if the Charge more than 80% thingy is active??

Is it the one below that reads: Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery ?

Do I have to disable that one???

yesterday I disabled both and re-enabled them n restarted

Hi, A325-53? There is a small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign), stick a pin in that hole till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. This will reset the battery. Uninstall Acer Care Center and AcerSense if that was pre-installed on your laptop and in Windows Services disable accSvc in Properties-Startup type, click Apply. Open Task Manager-Processes and verify that these Acer programs are no longer running. Update BIOS only if there is a new BIOS version listed on Acer Support for your laptop.
