Hi everyone,

I recently got an Acer Nitro V15 and I’m looking for advice on optimizing it for gaming. I’ve noticed some issues like the battery icon changing to an X after an update, and my trackpad is acting up sometimes.

  • Has anyone else experienced these problems?
  • Are there any specific driver updates or settings tweaks that can help?
  • Also, any tips for maximizing cooling and performance on Nitro laptops would be great.
  • What’s your go-to setup for Windows 10/11 gaming optimization on Nitro devices?

I’ve found this Windows 10/11 optimization guide for gaming really helpful and the Ultimate Laptop Cooling Optimization Guide Space Waves was a game changer for my Nitro.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Make sure that Win-11 24H2 version is updated to its last OS build: 26100.4351 and also install the last bios version for your V15 Nitro model laptop. Make you also install the NVidia App and scan your Nitro V15 for the latest Game Ready driver and do a clean install of the new driver and afterwards, play all NVidia gpu supported games within the NVidia App software for best game settings and performance. As doing all this is essential.

The V15 Nitro ANV15-51 and 41 laptop models have a problematic adapter and battery sync issue, as when playing high end games and the laptop requires peak power from its adapter, the laptops adapter seems to not be able to supply the required power to the laptop and to sync for extra power supply from the battery, hence and why the laptop will turn off mid gaming, so this is a symptom common to these laptops and there is no fix for this.

Also, always use a multi fan laptop cooler like the one below or similar, which I use with my Predator Neo PHN16-71also, as these cooler reduce temps by at least 20+°C in extreme gaming. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
