Hi, the system probably overheated, disable Turbo Boost (see picture) in Advanced Power plan settings and use Balanced Power Plan, set to Best power efficiency in Power & Battery settings (see picture):

Use the original Acer charger to ensure stable power delivery. Perform a battery reset using the pinhole on the bottom of the laptop. Clean the air vents and enable CoolBoost in NitroSense to improve cooling. Update the BIOS from Acer’s official support page. Use the Balanced Power Plan and set your system to Best power efficiency in the Power & Battery settings

A blinking orange light on an Acer Nitro laptop while gaming and turning off usually indicates a charging or battery issue. This could be due to a low battery, a faulty power adapter, or a problem with the battery itself.
Here's a breakdown of potential causes and troubleshooting steps:-

    Possible Causes:
Low Battery: The most common reason for a blinking orange light is a low battery.
Faulty Power Adapter: The adapter might not be supplying enough power, or it could be failing.
Battery Problem: The battery might be failing, unable to hold a charge, or have a dead cell.
POST Error: In some cases, it could indicate a more serious hardware issue, such as a POST (Power-On Self-Test) error.
Charging Circuit Issues: There could be a problem with the charging circuit on the motherboard.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
    1. Check the Power Adapter:
Ensure the adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
    2. Try a Different Charger:
If possible, test with a different Acer power adapter that is compatible with your laptop to rule out adapter issues.
    3. Power Reset:
Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if possible). Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power. Then, reconnect the power adapter and try turning on the laptop.
    4. Inspect the Battery:
If you can remove the battery, check for any signs of damage or swelling. If the battery is old, it might be time for a replacement.
    5. Check for BIOS Updates:
Outdated BIOS can sometimes cause charging issues. Check Acer's website for updates relevant to your laptop model.
    6. Check for External Devices:
Ensure no faulty external devices are connected that could be causing issues.
    7. Seek Professional Help:
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it's recommended to contact Acer support or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
