The Acer Swift 3 SF314-59-70VK supports the following external display resolutions:
HDMI 2.0 port: Up to 4K at 60Hz (3840×2160), DisplayPort 1.4 over USB-C, allows up to 4K at 60Hz, provided you're using a compatible USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to HDMI adapter.
So whether you're going HDMI direct or USB-C with an adapter, you can comfortably run a 4K monitor at 60Hz.

the maximum refresh rate for a 3K monitor (like 2880×1620 or 3072×1920) will be 60Hz, whether you're using the HDMI 2.0 port or the USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 support. This is because: The Intel Iris Xe Graphics in the 11th Gen Core i7 supports 4K and 3K at 60Hz. Both HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 over USB-C can handle 3K at 60Hz. Higher refresh rates (like 120Hz or 144Hz) at 3K would require more bandwidth than these ports typically offer, and the GPU isn’t optimized for high-refresh external displays at that resolution.

The Acer Swift 3 SF314-59-70VK supports the following external display resolutions:

    • HDMI 2.0 port: Up to 4K at 60Hz
    • USB-C port (Thunderbolt 4): Also supports 4K at 60Hz, and can drive higher resolutions (like 5K or dual 4K) if connected to a compatible Thunderbolt dock or monitor2.

So whether you're using HDMI or USB-C, you can comfortably run a 4K monitor at full refresh rate.
