I have an acer aspire 15 which i bought in Dubai few months back only. Now my camera has started to show some issues like there are lines on my screen when i open camera, then the screen goes completely blurry as if the screen is broken and then the camera just shuts and doesn't open. I have a warranty card, but my country isn't in its locations list. What am I supposed to do now?

Hi, uninstall the USB front facing camera in Device manager and just reboot, Windows will install the proper driver.

You can review the warranty terms to understand what’s covered. Before pursuing repair, try updating the camera drivers or testing the camera in other apps to rule out any software-related issues.

Lines appearing on your Acer Aspire 15 laptop's camera screen, especially if they are horizontal or vertical, likely indicate a hardware issue, possibly with the display panel, the cable connecting the display to the motherboard, or even the camera itself. Software glitches or overheating can also sometimes cause lines, but hardware problems are more common in these scenarios.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and troubleshooting steps:
    1. Hardware Issues:
Display Panel: The LCD panel itself could be failing, causing lines to appear.
eDP Cable: The cable connecting the display and motherboard (eDP cable) might be loose or damaged.
Camera Module: The camera component itself could be faulty.
Loose Connections: The connections between the display, cable, and motherboard could be loose.
    2. Software and Other Potential Issues:
Outdated or Corrupted Graphics Drivers: Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can sometimes cause display issues.
Overheating: Overheating can sometimes cause display artifacts like lines, but this is less common than hardware problems.
Software glitches: In rare cases, software glitches can cause display issues.
Dust or Moisture: Dust or moisture on the camera lens can sometimes cause lines or stains.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
    1. Check for Loose Connections:
Ensure the laptop is powered off.
Gently try wiggling the display cable where it connects to the motherboard.
If you're comfortable, you can also try reseating the cable, but be extremely careful.
    2. Update Graphics Drivers:
Open Device Manager (search for it in the Start Menu).
Expand "Display adapters" and right-click on your graphics card.
Select "Update driver" and then "Search automatically for drivers".
    3. Update Windows:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    Click "Check for updates".
    4. Scan for Hardware Changes:
In Device Manager, go to Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    5. Test with External Monitor:
Connect an external monitor to your laptop. If the lines are present on the external monitor, it's likely a graphics card or software issue. If not, it's more likely a display or cable problem.
    6. Check the Camera Lens:
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free of dust or smudges.
