What is the full laptop model, something like AL15-41p, and what Windows version are you running?

Start with a full power reset: shut down the laptop, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then restart. Next, inspect the charger, try a different charger if possible. Refresh the battery drivers by uninstalling them in Device Manager under "Batteries" and restarting the system; Windows will auto-reinstall them. Then, visit Acer’s official support site, enter your exact model, and check for any available BIOS updates—but only install one if your system is stable.

It might be due to outdated battery drivers. In most of the cases, BIOS update issues can also be the reason behind it. Also, dust trapped in the battery slot can cause further issues as well.
