Hello,

I’m using an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 laptop, and I’m facing an issue with TPM 2.0 not being available in the BIOS.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

  • BIOS version: InsydeH2O v1.33 (latest available on Acer's official support page)
  • UEFI is enabled in BIOS
  • Pressing Ctrl + S on BIOS only shows "SATA Mode" – no other advanced options appear
  • No TPM option or Intel PTT setting anywhere in the BIOS
  • Running tpm.msc and get-tpm in Windows both confirm that TPM is not present
  • Device Manager also shows no TPM device
  • This laptop was purchased in Turkey (not a China model)

I understand that this model does not have a discrete TPM chip and relies on Intel PTT (firmware TPM) — but there is no option to enable it in the BIOS. I’ve also seen references to hidden BIOS settings or region-specific firmware limitations.

My questions:

  1. Does this model support Intel PTT (firmware TPM) at all?
  2. Is there any way to unlock or access the TPM/Intel PTT setting in BIOS safely?
  3. Is Acer planning to release an updated BIOS that enables this feature, or can support assist with a special BIOS patch?

I would like to install Windows 11, and TPM 2.0 is required.

Thanks in advance for your help!
