I already posted this in the Predator Desktops section, but saw this and figured this was more appropriate for my problem, since I only got the generic copy paste help messages there.
To start I recently bought a used Predator Orion 7000 desktop with an I7-12700k and an RTX 3080, the RGB just flashes non stop to the point it is giving me a headache, and I just want to set it to a solid color or turn it off completely which seems impossible without the Predator Sense software. The product ID is P07-640-UR11, the bios version is R01-B0 which is the newest version according to the drivers page, and Windows 11 is fully updated, and I have gone as far as completing a full reinstall of Windows 11 tying to get this program to install.
I went to the drivers page for that model and downloaded the Predator Sense software listed for it which is version 3.00.3050, and I cannot get it to install in any usable state. Trying to use the setup.exe just gives an error message saying
"sorry this computer is not supported"
I did some extensive digging and the first useful bit of info I found said to install the appxbundle file in the PredatorSenseUWP folder instead of using the setup.exe, which worked but after installing it, trying to open the program doesn't do anything and still nothing is working.
I went down the rabbit hole some more and found a post talking about how the "sorry this computer is not supported" error message is related to the product name in the system bios not matching the "Predator P07-640" folder in the plugs folder in the Predator sense install folder. Several posts mentioned needing a program called DMItools to change the actual names in the bios, but I haven't found more information on how to get that program or what to do exactly with it.
I am beyond frustrated at this point, this seems insanely complicated to install a basic utility program. it almost feels like if this program was not factory installed there is no way to install it on a new Windows 11 install.
