Hi, I recently purchased an acer monitor that I have confirmed has built in speakers (model number XZ322QU). I tried connecting it to my NVIDIA GeForce card in my Dell XPS 8960 computer using both an HDMI cable and the DP cable (separately, I tried both; I also tried all the DP cable ports on the computer). I have also tried connecting the audio jack on the monitor with all the various audio ports on my computer.
None of this allows sound to come out.
I was playing a YouTube music video while I was doing these tests. The volume is up on the YouTube volume bar (and it's not on mute); the volume is up on the task bar (and is not on mute); and when I went to the settings part of the Acer monitor the volume was set at 70 and I changed it to 100 and again made sure it was not on mute.
My computer is running Windows 11 Home.
At this point I do not know what else to try.
FYI. I can listen to calls on Zoom when I connect my Bluetooth headset. But, interestingly, I cannot hear the YouTube video this way.
I would greatly appreciate some help!
Kindra
