Hi, disable the Optimizer option in AcerSense or Acer Care Center and don't use the 80% battery charge limiter features, use only the power adapter that came with the laptop, not a USB-C charger. There is a small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign), Disconnect the power adapter and stick a pin in that hole till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. This will reset the battery.

The problem is that your battery is locked or its soldered fuse is blown, you need to take your laptop to a technician that can unlock the battery so that it can operate without the adapter plugged in. The battery needs to be tested with a battery analyser that can unlock the battery or the batteries soldered fuse can be easily resoldered to make the battery work again. Otherwise buy a new battery for your Aspire A715-76G. Good luck.

If your laptop only turns on when plugged in, it's likely a battery issue, such as a dead or failing battery. The battery might be unable to hold a charge or not being detected by the laptop.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:
    1. Battery Issues:
Dead or Failing Battery: Batteries degrade over time and lose their ability to hold a charge.
Battery Not Detected: Your laptop may not be recognizing the battery properly.
Charge Problems: The battery might not be charging or not releasing charge correctly.
    2. Power Supply Problems:
Faulty Power Adapter: The power adapter might be damaged or not providing enough power.
Connection Issues: Loose connections between the power adapter, laptop, and power outlet could be the problem.
    3. Other Potential Issues:
Software/Operating System Errors: Software glitches or outdated drivers can sometimes cause power issues.
Hardware Failure: In rare cases, a hardware component within the laptop might be failing.
    Troubleshooting Steps:
Check the Power Adapter: Ensure the power adapter is connected securely and that the power cord is in good condition.
Test with a Different Power Adapter: If possible, try using a different power adapter to see if the problem persists.
Power Reset: Try performing a power reset by unplugging the power adapter, removing the battery (if removable), holding down the power button for 30 seconds, and then reinserting the battery and power adapter.
Check Battery Health: If your laptop has a removable battery, try taking it out, leaving it out for a few minutes, and then reinstalling it.
Update Drivers: Make sure your laptop's battery drivers are up-to-date.
Safe Mode Boot: Try booting into safe mode to see if the problem is software-related.
Consider Battery Replacement: If you've ruled out other issues, a faulty battery might be the culprit, and replacement may be necessary.
