Acer Nitro 5 not turning on just blue light indicator for a few secs. Battery indicator is working.

Hello. I just wanna try to ask here if you guys have experienced or knowledge about what might my laptop's problem is. I won't turn on just blue light for a secs. I already have it checked and repaired in our local technician, got it on May 23 they said the problems were the bios and 2 regulator. And after I got it... it works well for the past few days but on June 9 (Monday) it won't turn on again. I contacted the repair shop but they say the problem might be on the keyboard and need replacement. Could it really be the keyboard? Please someone help, cause I have a feeling they're just squizing me for money.😭

What is your Nitro exact model number, like and if its an old model its an AN515-xx or new model is an ANV15-xx or AN15-xx etc, so tell us the model number as this important information. As and if your laptop is more than 3-4 years old then check the battery as this power on fault could be from an old battery that needs replacing or the main power rail is faulty. There is no problems with bios or regulators as the technicians that you took your laptop to, should have fixed these issues.

Do this first, try to do a Hard Reset first as it could be that your Nitro has an EC, Chipset or a bios chips that freeze and that is causing the power on problems. Otherwise, and if the hard rest doesn't work, take your laptop to another technician as your laptop need better technicians to fix your Nitro properly

Hard Reset for a Nitro laptop - Remove eleven (11) screws from the base cover to the upper case of your Nitro laptop, starting from the upper side, pry to release the upper side latches, continue releasing the remaining latches. Then remove the lower case.

Press the power key for 15 seconds to release all power to the laptop and then disconnect the main battery cable from the mainboard, then take the main battery out. Then disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and then short the bios batteries + & - pins at the mainboard plug (as shown at red circled plug below) to reset CMOS and then take all the ran out.

Leave the laptop like that for at least 30min to 1 hour so that the EC, Chipset and bios chips reset completely and then reconnect everything, if you have 2x ram modules, only connect 1x ram module and alternate the two ram modules and see if its not the ram that is faulty, as the laptop should turn on and boot properly with an image on the screen after a hard reset.
