I noticed that the power indicator light on my Acer Swift (not the battery indicator) has changed from blue to red while using the laptop. The laptop is still powered on and working normally, but I'm curious about what this red light means. Is it a sign of a hardware issue or something else?

Hi, these are two different laptops: The SF314-511 is powered by Intel processors, whereas the SF314-43 features AMD Ryzen chips?

The amber color of the Power LED indicates a hardware issue, possibly power rail related, Don't use a USB-C charger but the original barrel plug power adapter that came with the laptop(s). Try another power adapter and see if the amber power LED will turn blue.

In laptops, red light stands for performance mode. You can press the fn + q and see the modes. Also, blue means quiet mode.

Blue flashing of the Power LED indicates the Battery is not charging. You might want to try another Power Adapter, or better bring the laptop and power adapter to Acer Services in your country for checking, this is a rather new laptop so I don't recommend opening the back cover.
