No worries, the Intel Killer Intelligence Service is not required for your Wi-Fi network to function. It is part of the Killer Performance Suite, designed to optimize network traffic for gaming and streaming. However, your system can still connect to the internet without it, as long as the Intel Killer Wi-Fi adapter drivers are installed and working properly. I keep it disabled on my system, no Wi-Fi issues.

I actually use this application to monitor my data usage and restrict apps from overusing data when i connect to a metered connection. This is quite useful when gaming it provides a stable connectivity by restricting background apps from using data thats why i want to recover this and want this service to run again.

You should state the model of your laptop in the subject line.

Try uninstalling the killer software reboot then download the oem drivers suite for your model from Acer and reinstall.

Or download Intel driver utility and it will scan your system and offer you updates. Probably best to only update the killer software from Intel and not drivers as I think there's a disclaimer that laptops should use OEM drivers , mind you Acer stop updating the drivers once the laptop is 12 months old and replaced by a newer model

If Killer Intelligence Center stopped working, it could be due to outdated drivers, a corrupted installation, or conflicts with other software. To fix it, you can try updating the Intel Killer Performance Suite, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, or disabling the Prioritization Engine if it's causing issues.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
    1. Update Killer Drivers:
Download the latest Intel Killer Performance Suite from the Intel Download Center.
Uninstall the existing Killer software and drivers from Programs and Features and Device Manager.
    Restart your computer.
Install the newly downloaded Intel Killer Performance Suite.
    2. Clean Installation:
Uninstall the Killer software completely from your computer.
Use the Microsoft Troubleshooter tool if you encounter issues during uninstall.
    Restart your computer.
Install the latest Intel Killer Performance Suite.
    3. Check Service Status:
    Open the Services console (services.msc).
Locate the Killer Network Service or Rivet Bandwidth Control service.
Ensure the "Startup Type" is set to "Automatic".
If it's not running, click "Start" to manually start it.
    4. Disable Prioritization Engine:
If the Killer Intelligence Center is causing problems, you can disable the Prioritization Engine in the software settings.
Click the green switch for "Prioritization Engine" to turn it off.
    5. Other Troubleshooting:
    Try restarting your computer.
Disable and re-enable your network adapter.
    Reset your router.
