so i have a helios predator 300 2022 series, rtx 3070ti and the hotspot is hitting 95c while the main gpu temps are around 70c to 80c depending on the game. in astroneer its around 65c in american truck sim its hitting around 75 to 80c it has been repasted by a tech store using gc extreme thermal paste and they used upsiren putty for the pads. is the gpu hotspot supposed to be that high while the whole temp shows its around 75 to 80c?

Your model Predator Helios 300 released 2022 which is the model number PH315-55 with the GN20-E6 NVidia gpu which is the RTX3070Ti gpu that is hitting 95°C in gaming is normal, as this laptop is set for its OS to shut down when its CPU temp reaches 100°C, which is a safety temp and if the laptop has all its required software updates, it will not reach.

What I suggest that you do is make sure that you are always running the latest NVidia game ready drivers that will be updated through the NVidia GeForce App and play your games (if they are supported by NVidia GFE app) through the Nvidia app for the RTX3070Ti best settings and to keep the gpu cooler and perform at its best settings.

Also make sure that you have installed the PH315-55 latest bios 1.12 and firmware 1.02a for the VBIOS NVVDD EDPc for this laptop, as then your laptop will perform at its best and at its lowest cpu and gpu temps. Also buy a laptop multi fan cooler like the Thermaltake Massive 12 Max, as that will also assist this laptop in reducing temps when you play extreme games that raise the cpu and gpu temps. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The cpu and gpu temps that your laptops should have at the below fan rpms is what Acer tested this laptop at, so your PH315-55 laptop cpu/gpu temps should be the same as below.

Thank you for all of this info wow it is very informative and gave me a lot of information i never knew. but what do you mean by turbo on and off in the picture with the fans ? when I play games i have to run my fans at 6000 rpm to keep temps in check and if i turn turbo on via the predator sense it pushed my gpu and cpu temps higher than 80, up into the 90s and 100s where the laptop shuts down. so i never run turbo with that i just throw the fans at 6000 rpm through the fan control in predator sense and leave the turbo off. I also was told by the tech person that they turned off boost mode as it would push my temps up into the 90's as well with boost mode enabled through the power management. not sure why that would make my temps run hotter either.

Glad to help you out. With the Turbo On/Off that is shown for the cpu and gpu, that shows when the turbo boost switches On and Off if the cpu or gpu get too hot then the turbo boost automatically turns off at the higher temp as shown in the tables, so the cpu and gpu don't overheat and blow out.
