I have been struggling with my laptop since I bought it in April this year. Whenever I put it to sleep and left it overnight, it failed to power on, with no keyboard backlight and no CPU fan. The blue power light turned on for a few seconds and then turned off. I've already sent it to local authorized support twice, and they insisted it was a Windows issue and even made a format and clean reinstall. One thing I've tried as a workaround is to put the laptop into a wardrobe with desiccant and the issue is gone. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause of this issue?

Hi, all I can think of is to check if your BIOS is updated to version 1.16 dated 2025/02/06 and disabling Fast Startup/Hibernate in "Change what closing the lid does"

If your Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-72) isn't turning on, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take. First, check the power socket and ensure the power adapter is securely connected. You can also try a hard reset by disconnecting the power connector and main battery, holding down the power button for 45 seconds, and then reattaching everything. If the problem persists, you may need to check the CMOS battery or connect the laptop to an external display to see if it's booting up.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Power Check:
Power Socket: Try a different power socket to rule out a faulty outlet.
Power Adapter: Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into the laptop and the wall.
Connector: Try reseating the power adapter and connector to ensure they are properly connected.
    2. Hard Reset:
Disconnect Power and Battery: Remove the power connector and the main battery (if removable).
Hold Power Button: Press and hold the power button for 45 seconds to discharge any residual power.
Reattach: Reconnect the battery (if removable) and the power connector.
    3. CMOS Battery Check:
Voltage: Use a voltmeter to check the voltage of the CMOS battery.
Replace: Replace the CMOS battery if it's low or dead.
Remove and Wait: Remove the CMOS battery for at least 10 minutes, then reinsert it.
    4. External Display:
Connect: Connect the laptop to an external display using a VGA/HDMI/DVI cable.
Test: See if the laptop boots up and displays on the external screen.
    5. Other Potential Issues:
      BIOS Reset:
If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset the BIOS to factory defaults.
      Battery:
A locked battery or a tripped mainboard solder fuse could also cause issues.
      Software:
If the laptop is turning on but not booting, try updating the drivers or reinstalling the operating system.
If you've tried these steps and the laptop still won't power on, it's recommended to contact Acer support for further assistance or a qualified technician.

the BIOS version is 1.16, I turned off the fast boot and disabled Fast Startup/Hibernate in "Change what closing the lid does", let's see if this fixes the issue.

I've tried the power cycle you mentioned so many times and I already sent the laptop to local Acer authorized support twice and they insisted this is Windows issue. That's why I am so frustrated and tried to seek help in forum.
