BSOD After Windows Update – Tried Everything, Still Not Fixed

Hi everyone

After a recent Windows update, my laptop started showing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors randomly. I’ve tried several things to fix it:

  • Fully reset the laptop and reinstalled Windows — BSOD still happens.
  • Tested RAM and SSD — no errors found.
  • Cleaned the inside to fix any heat issues — worked for a few hours, then BSOD came back.

Nothing seems to work. Drivers seem up to date, and I haven changed my laptop RAM from 8gb to 16gb around 10 month ago. Is there anything else I should check? Could it be a driver issue from the update? Should I try rolling back to a previous Windows version?

Any help is appreciated!

I have the same issue using a PHN16-72 and by checking the logs I am almost sure this is something related to the processor as the BSOD occours while ide too and rarely gamming.. meaning a HW issue.
    I attached the event

If BSOD persists after Windows updates and various troubleshooting attempts, the issue might be more complex, potentially involving hardware or a persistent software conflict. Here's a breakdown of further steps to consider:

    1. Hardware Check:
Memory (RAM): Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for faulty RAM.
Storage (HDD/SSD): Use the Check Disk tool to scan for errors on your storage device.
Other Hardware: If possible, try booting with a different PSU, graphics card, or other components (if you have spares) to see if the issue is isolated to one component.
Overheating: Ensure your computer's cooling system (fans, heatsinks) are working properly and that the system isn't overheating.
    2. Advanced Troubleshooting:
      Check for stop codes:
The BSOD will usually display a stop code. Search online for the specific stop code to understand the potential cause and find relevant solutions.
      Driver Rollback/Uninstall:
If a specific driver seems to be causing problems, try rolling back or uninstalling the driver and seeing if the BSOD is resolved.
      System Restore:
If the issue appeared after a recent Windows update, try restoring to a previous restore point before the update.
      Boot Repair:
Use the Startup Repair tool in Windows Recovery Environment to try and automatically fix boot issues.
      Clean Boot:
Perform a clean boot to troubleshoot software conflicts by disabling non-essential services and startup programs.
    3. Final Steps:
      Reinstall Windows:
If all else fails, reinstalling Windows might be the only option. Ensure you have a backup of important data before reinstalling.
      Consult a Professional:
If you're unable to resolve the issue yourself, consider seeking professional help from a computer technician.
