Got a PO5-650 for my daughter, about two years ago,

its been fine, and now all of a sudden she cant get into Roblox studio, or roblox app, discord cannot connect, and sometimes steam is failing to  load the site pages,

all the errors point to no internet when I looked it up online,

but the internet in my house is fine,  I kinda dont know what to do about it, Ive removed the AV incase thats it, added the PC to the DMZ on the router, incase the router firewall is interfering, tried wifi instead of wired, connected it directly to my router, to remove the little 8 port switch it goes through, Ive reset the router(well power cycled it, its a BT home hub and there doesnt seem to be an options to delete cache) and all the stuff works fine on my PC when Im online,

Just cant figure a solution, to the point last night I decided to reload win11,

but then that was its own issue, when I got to the part about selecting the drive,

it didnt show anything, this PC has a 1TB M2 as the primary, and a 2TB Mechanical drive for secondary, and no SATA drives or anything showed,

so after a bit of googling, I found it needed to load the RST driver at that point so I found them, and tried that, still no drives, so Im totally stuck now, the only thing about it was, it was a generic RST driver, as the one off the Acer support site wasnt a straight inf file, and at that point in the loading, I didnt know how to run it, can you even alt+f10 to get a dos window to run it at that point?

if anyone can point me to the fix I would be very grateful,

even if its something I can do in windows to reset the eithernet controller, assuming thats it, like I said Im on the same network with my PC, and have a couple of shares, so all the PC can interact for file sharing, and mine is fine, loaded my daughters RBStudio account no issues, Discord has no issues..

I attached Screens of the errors that are coming up, nothing really telling, other than the internet, and I know thats on and ok.

With the Win-11 installation, you need the oem IRST drive specific to the PO5-650 desktop, which is version 19.5.0.1037, so put that folder into the bootable Win-11 installation USB, don't use any other IRST driver version as that is why you having problems detecting the M.2 SSD drive.

Also be aware that the PO5-650 desktop has a Killer LAN E3100G LAN controller, so make sure that this LAN controller is updated to the 36.24.12162  (Latest) driver for Win-11.

For the WLAN the PO5-650 uses either the Intel AX211NGW WI-FI 6E/BT v5.1 part #: KE.WF60N.003 card or the Intel AX201NGW WI-FI 6/BT v5.1 Acer part # KE.11X0N.014 card. If your current WLAN card doesn't work, then change it for the other Acer fitted card, as it could be faulty. Which should connect to your home LAN and WLAN network.

After you finish the Win-11 24H2 and all its updates to its last OS build: 26100.4202, make sure that you have updated the bios to this desktops last dated; 2024/12/03 bios version R01-B2 (that has the INTEL Microcode 0x12B update fix) for the problems that the 13th Gen cpu has. As all these updates are all essential and required fixes for this desktop to function properly, as that could also contribute to your problems. Good luck.

Thanks, After posting this morning I had a look around a little more, and found other folks with similar issues, so Im trying that tonight, I think I got hte wrong RST off the site last night, and thats why it didnt want to load, I think I got the utility, and not the driver (doh) but I did try a generic intel one, that didnt work, so fingers crossed tonight it works.

Thanks for the help, it now appears to be fixed,

God only knows what had happened to it, to make all the other applications slowly not be able to use the internet, even though it was working,

but got the corret RST, overinstalled windows11, and now its all good, just going through the long annoying process or installing all the applications and games my daughter uses..
